BANGKOK (Part 2)

Cafe-hop edition.

After You Dessert Cafe
http://www.afteryoudessertcafe.com/
"There's always room for dessert" -- and yes, that's true!

There are several branches in the city area, and we found our way to the one at Siam Paragon.
It opens 10am to 10.30pm daily.
If you are looking for late night desserts, visit the branch at Thonglor 13. It closes at midnight!

Sorry I don't take very nice food pictures :( Still learning!

Chocolate Lava
Chocolate Mud Brownie
Ferrero Toast

After You Cafe offers baby size for some desserts, definitely suitable for those who want to give it a try, or can't eat much. However, baby size is while stock last!
Would I recommend this cafe to my friends? -- Probably, just the toast desserts though!

Greyhound Cafe
http://greyhoundcafe.co.th/

Heard so much about this cafe and here I am to give it a try. (I'm not really a cafe person actually!)
There's one at Siam Center!
The menu was a mix of different cuisines, and I didn't think much and ordered my safe choice - Aglio Olio. Truthfully speaking, it wasn't nice at all :( Or probably it was just my choice of dish. The rest was pretty good!

Mini chicken wings
(so gooooooood, yums!)
Aglio Olio with Bacon
Crabmeat spaghetti in cream prawn paste
(my friends said this was good!)
Italian Sausage Quesadilla
Happy toast!
(Yes!! Absolutely happy after eating this with condensed milk!)

Greyhound cafe offers a great variety of food choices, didn't manage to try much but there's always a second time! I will definitely be back for more :)
Would I recommend this cafe to my friends? -- The mini chicken wings and happy toast is a must try! Can try the crabmeat spaghetti too!

Mr Jones' Orphanage
Located at Siam Center, a very interesting and cute cafe indeed. I see wooden trains, wooden rail tracks and teddy bears everywhere.

Too much desserts for the day. Guess "fat" is the only word I can think of now.
Not a fan of Mr Jones' Orphanage, will I come again? Maybe not.

BANGKOK (Part 1)

First trip in 2015, and I am feeling blessed to be able to travel with a group of friends.
Been to Bangkok several times, and for me at least, this time its not about shopping!

On my way to the airport :)
 Flight: Singapore Airlines
I've been taking budget airlines namely Airasia, Scoot and Tiger Airways to Bangkok, but why Singapore Airlines this time? (No, its not that I have too much money to spend!) Before this trip, I have done several price comparison between the airlines, and the following was what I found:

Dates: 9 to 14 January
Scoot (www.flyscoot.com)
$191 after tax with 7kg carry on luggage
+ $22 extra 20kg check-in luggage
Note: It was not on promotion fares

Singapore Airlines (www.singaporeair.com)
$230 after tax with 10kg carry on luggage + 30kg check-in luggage + free in-flight meals
Note: It was on 2-to-go promotion (local fare deals)

SQ have monthly 2-to-go promotions, sometimes it can be quite an affordable deal like ours! And obviously my friends who are going Bangkok to shop all opt for SQ with 30kg check-in baggage!

Do your homework and choose the airline that suits your needs!

My $23 passport cover from @passpotter, which I found exact ones in Bangkok for just $6 :')

Hotel: Siamese Studio
It's a boutique hotel, small but definitely cosy. 3 rooms for 8 of us.
Rates are available on agoda.com.
I can say that I'm pretty satisfied with my stay there as the boss was very welcoming and helped us in every way we needed, which includes my surprise birthday party!
